PodCorps.org is a worldwide army of audio and video stringers who volunteer to record important spoken-word events.

Complimenting our curated podcast channels, PodCorps.org is the second phase in The Conversations Network's plan to capture, produce and publish for free those speeches, lectures, meetings and conferences that would otherwise simply evaporate because no one bothered to record them.

If you're a podcaster or videocaster, joining PodCorps.org is your chance to learn and share your experience with others at the same time as you give back to your community. If you're an event producer, you can sign up now, and we'll help you find a stringer to record your event.

Because PodCorps.org is brand new, it's going to take some time until we have enough stringers to reliably cover events. For now, please sign up — it's free! — and tell your friends and fellow podcasters.

Welcome to The Conversations Network: a non-profit online publisher of recordings of spoken-word events.

Free Guest Registration. Even as a free registered guest, you will have access to features such as our forums, recommendation system, personal program queues and newsletters described below.

Membership. Like public radio in the U.S., we are a listener-supported organization. While membership is not a requirement for listening, your membership dues help cover our infrastructure costs and allow us to create new channels, series and programs. Note that membersip is entirely optional. Even anonymous unregistered guests have access to all our published programs.

Special Features. We publish more programs than most people have time to hear, so we give you personalized recommendations based on how you've rated programs you've already heard and the ratings of other members who like the same programs as you. You'll also want to use your Personal Program Queue to keep track of what to listen to next. And your PPQ includes a personalized, prioritized RSS/Podcast feed.

We hope you share our vision for The Conversations Network and will discover many new ideas through your headphones. And we hope you will get involved to help us expand this exciting experiment in listener-supported non-profit audio on the web.
