Being a community superhero doesn't require super powers.  In this talk from the 2009 MySQL Conference, Sheeri Cabral, the 2007-2008 MySQL Advocate of the Year, shares some of her experiences as open source organizer and contributor.  Open source projects aren't just code; each one has a community responsible for coding, testing, documentation, outreach, education, integration and more.  Every project has needs like A/V setup, social networking, blogging, and logistics that don't require deep technical knowledge, just enthusiasm and a desire to contribute.  True work in improving things is in the little achievements of the day, and every open source project needs people to do those little achievements.
